Marcato Differentials

75 years · 1mm tolerance · 10-year warranty

"What separates high-end woodworking is the sum of what seems like a detail."

MATERIALS IN THE RIGHT PLACE

MDF and MDP — both in the right place

Most woodworking shops only work with MDF and sell it as premium quality. Marcato uses MDF where MDF is better (doors, fronts, painting) and MDP where MDP is better (boxes, bases, sides, structural shelves). It's the difference between doing what sells and doing what's right.

Natural veneer and solid wood

Natural wood veneers—European oak, walnut, ebony—retaining the grain and visual depth with the stability of industrial manufacturing. Selected solid wood, manually machined for doors, drawers, accessories, and signature handles.

FSC Panels and Ultra Premium MDF

FSC-certified panels (Duratex and Arauco) — controlled origin and auditable sustainability. In wet areas (kitchen, laundry room, bathroom), Ultra Premium MDF with specific protection for the sink cabinet. The difference between lasting 5 years or 20 years lies in the critical points.

Bespoke Woodwork

Wooden drawer

A tribute to the old São José Woodshop, where in 1950 everything was handmade — no machinery, no shortcuts, no pre-made parts. The Gaveta Wood is entirely made of solid wood, with dovetail joints that eliminate the need for screws. A detail you feel when you open it — and which distinguishes a piece of furniture made by a joiner from a mass-produced piece of furniture.

Designer solid wood handles

Each Marcato handle is designed, prototyped, and machined in-house. Selected solid wood, hand-carved and finished — with the same attention given to a fine piece of joinery. While most joinery shops work with catalog handles, Marcato designs and manufactures its own. A detail that is felt before it is seen.

Solid wood accessories

The same cabinetmakers who build the furniture also produce each divider, each organizer, each internal accessory. Selected solid wood, precise joinery, continuous finish. The furniture and its complements come from the same hand — not from the same supplier's shelf.

EUROPEAN HARDWARE

Salice Silentia+ Hinge — Italy

Silentia+ model from Italian Salice. Slow-close with adjustable speed, titanium finish for maximum corrosion resistance. Certified to European standards for up to 200,000 durability cycles — while domestic hardware rarely exceeds 30,000 without fatigue.

Blum Tandem and Legrabox Slides — Austria

Tandem and Legrabox lines from Austrian Blum. Tandem for traditional drawers with full extension and soft-close; Legrabox for metal-sided drawers with a slim profile and even more precise movement. Visual and tactile accompaniment that defines the perception of quality. European standard for high-end cabinetry.

Cinetto sliding system — Italy

Italian Cinetto technology for overlay doors, with an anti-derailment system. Silent movement, stable alignment, and superior durability. The sliding system is where most furniture fails first — Marcato adopts the European standard.

MACHINING

Each piece undergoes CNC machining with Italian technology — cutting, drilling, and joinery with dimensional precision that human hands cannot achieve. But the machine does not replace the carpenter: it executes, he decides. Technology where it speeds up the work. Human hands where they define the detail.

ACCURACY OF 1 MILLIMETER

1mm assembly tolerance

Precision is what you see when a door fits without a gap, when two pieces meet without a bump, when the baseboard touches the ceiling seamlessly. Marcato manufactures and installs with a maximum tolerance of 1mm at any point. The market standard is 5 to 10mm. The difference shows in the joints — visible and to the touch.

Solidity in what is seen and what is not seen

Marcato is the only woodworking company in Brazil that uses 15mm backing on ALL its furniture. The market standard is 6 to 9mm — a saving that causes the backing to warp over time, compromising the entire structure. Combined with 25mm panels in all structures (bases, sides, bedroom shelves, and kitchen bases), the result is complete solidity — whether visible or not.

The edge that lasts

Run your hand along the edge of a piece of furniture—that's where time shows up first. Most woodworking shops use 0.45mm tape with EVA glue, which detaches under humidity and heat. Marcato uses 1mm ABS tape with PUR glue—a permanent molecular bond, tested resistance. The Marcato edge ages with the furniture, not before it.

Custom colors

over 30,000 colors

NCS INDEX 2050 System in partnership with Italian paint manufacturer IVE LECHLER — more than 30,000 reproducible colors in our lab. Any reference (from a brand, manufacturer, Pantone, or wall paint) can be delivered exactly as requested. Color is a project decision, not a catalog decision.

Automated painting PERFECT FINISH

Each piece goes through an automated painting system with cutting-edge Italian technology. Controlled application, uniform thickness, chamber drying—the same shade on the first cabinet and the last in each room.

Available finishes: high-gloss, satin, matte, and micro-texture.

BUILT BY THOSE WHO KNOW

Factory-assembled modules

Marcato is one of the only carpentry shops in Brazil that delivers modules already assembled and adjusted at the factory. Each cabinet leaves ready, packaged, and protected — arriving at the job site only for final installation. Precise assembly only happens with the right equipment. This equipment is at the factory, not on the job site.

Sink Cabinet Protection

A company that has been building kitchens for 75 years knows exactly where furniture fails first: in the sink cabinet. This is the point where water, humidity, and chemical products attack every day. Marcato installs specific technical protection at this critical point — combined with Ultra Premium MDF in all wet areas. Most carpentry shops deliver without this. Marcato does not.

Pre-Delivery Inspection

Each project undergoes a complete check at the factory before shipping. Joints tested, hardware adjusted, finishes validated. The furniture leaves here ready — it doesn't wait for the construction site to be adjusted. When it arrives at the client, it is ready for immediate use.

10-year warranty against manufacturing defects

Full 10-year warranty on all Sartoria furniture, documented in a contract — covering structure, hardware, and finishes. The market standard for custom furniture is 1 to 2 years. Marcato offers 5 to 10 times more. The warranty is technical, not commercial — supported by the choice of materials, European hardware, and consistent processes.
