Marcato — Tradition in High-End Woodworking Since 1950

Marcato: woodworking company founded in 1950 in Cedral/SP. Since 1950, with a tradition of high-quality cabinetry, with its own factory and exclusively European hardware.

1950

An old passion for wood.

On March 1, 1950, Mr. Antonio opened the doors of a small woodworking shop in Cedral, a town in São Paulo state. His surname said it all — Italian, just like his appreciation for detail, and his belief that a well-made piece of furniture is an act of respect for those who will use it.

1985

THE PROJECT BEFORE THE PROJECT.

Before CAD, there was paper. Every Marcato environment began with a hand-drawn sketch — lines drawn with the precision of someone who already knew what they wanted to build. That was how it was in 1985. That's how it is to this day.

1986

The Kitchen, Made Personal.

In 1986, Marcato took a decisive step: it entered into the production of custom-made furniture and launched its first line of kitchens. The Firenze — an Italian name, like the family's origins — marked the beginning of a new era. For the first time, Brazilian homes could have a kitchen designed millimeter by millimeter for their space.

1998

Brazil Took Notice.

In 1998, Marcato crossed the borders of inland São Paulo and opened its first showrooms across Brazil. What began in Cedral in 1950 was now reaching new homes — with the same timeless promise: custom-made furniture, crafted with precision and without compromising quality.

2011

The technological leap.

With the brand firmly established, Marcato invested heavily in its manufacturing facility — bringing in CNC precision, automated painting systems, and Italian cutting-edge technology. What was handmade gained scale without losing exactness. The craft didn't change. The tools did.

"If everyone plants a tree, there will be enough for everyone."
_Antonio, Founder.
